Sanningssagor / True Tales

A poetic short film about the fear that religious doctrines create in children growing up in religious homes. About children’s exposure to, and difficulty of dealing with, abstract religious messages at a young age. We hear the voices of an older woman reading the story of Abraham and Isak from the children's bible to a child and a documentary recording of a pastor giving a speech on children's role in Christianity, layered on footage of sleeping children. True Tales premiered at Gothenburg International Film Festival, 2019.

Kroppen är en ensam plats / The Body Is A Lonely Place

A short poetic documentary film containing fragments of speech from a disintegrating life with an eating disorder. In the film we hear the obsessively disciplined thoughts of a young woman who describes her illness as if it were an all-controlling guardian. We hear a psychiatrist give a detached diagnosis and a doctor’s detailed instructions for her patient’s dietary plan. In The Body Is A Lonely Place you are invited to the forbidden universe that each anorectic conceals from the outside world. Premiered at Gothenburg International Film Festival, 2016.
